📣 NWCC Sports Highlights

  • 🎾 Women’s Tennis: Northwest’s team reached the Region 23 semifinals, defeating Hinds 5-1. They face #1 seed Jones College in Ellisville.
  • 🥎 Softball: The #8 nationally ranked Lady Rangers, led by Coach Chelsea Bramlett, improved to 31-7 overalland 12-6 in conference play with recent wins over Coahoma and Southwest. Upcoming games include doubleheaders vs. Gulf Coast (April 19) and East Mississippi (April 23).
  • ⚾ Baseball: Under Coach Mark Carson, now NWCC’s all-time winningest baseball coach, the Rangers are 26-13 overall and 9-9 in conference after a sweep of Coahoma. They face road games at Mississippi Gulf Coast and East Mississippi next.
  • 🤠 Rodeo: Coach Will Lummis and the Ranger Rodeo Team return to action April 24–26 with the annual Ranger Rodeo in Senatobia at the Lawrence Bud Young Arena. The team is vying for national qualifications for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.

🎨 Campus Arts

Although the planned interview with art faculty member Lucia Nelson was rescheduled, Gary highlights the upcoming Lavalle Art Sale on April 24—an opportunity for students to showcase and sell their work as part of Northwest’s vibrant art program.
